Habits...

Jordan has some funny sleep habits, and it cracks us up. His favorite place to sleep at night is in his car seat. He also loves to sleep with his hands up by his head. These are a few of the funny positions we've found him in:

3 weeks

Wow...time flies! I can't believe it's already been 3 weeks since Jordan was born. He has started smiling more, he LOVES bath time, and he loves to snuggle :). We are so in love with him.
Nana Anderson came to visit for a week and was a big help while I recovered. It was really nice to have her here with us and we were sad to see her go. :(
This last weekend we had Grandma Petty, Great Grandma Perkes, and Great Aunt Nancy in town. We were all able to celebrate Melli's (Jordan's cousin) Birthday. It was a fun weekend!

Jordan Lane Nielson

Our little guy has arrived!
Jordan Lane Nielson was born Monday, February 28 at 1:01pm
7 lb 12 oz and 20 inches long

I started consistent labor at about 3:30 am on Monday and waited until 8:00 am to go to the hospital. A few minutes after arriving, my water broke and they said I was dilated to 6 cm. I delivered a healthy baby boy at 1:01 pm. Kris was a tremendous support through the labor and delivery. We are all doing well and feel very blessed!

CHRISTMAS 2010 HIGHLIGHTS

We were able to go to Colorado for Christmas. Kris and I hadn't been back to Colorado together for 2 years! It was wonderful to be home for a few days with the family...we didn't want to leave. Everyone was home except Scott and Jennie and their girls (they are in China). We missed them! We were able to bring Grandma Curtis home with us and enjoyed spending time with her.

The Brothers

On Christmas Eve we all went down town to the musical, "Christmas Carol". It was really well done and a great way to feel the Christmas spirit.

Later that night, we had a nice dinner with our Curtis cousins and my Dad put on an inspiring program about the origination of a few of the Christmas Carols. We also read the Birth of Christ from the Bible. And, we were able to Skype with Scott and Jennie and their girls! We ended the night with our tradition of driving around to see the pretty lights and luminaries.

Here we are with our new comfy slippers from Mom and Dad.

We still line up from youngest to oldest to walk down the stairs to open gifts Christmas morning, while singing our family Christmas Song "Wish Ya Merry Christmas".

Kris and I got a blendtec for Christmas this year, and are REALLY enjoying it. It has some serious power! We love making green smoothies with it.

While we were all home my brother Nathan set up a big fooseball tournament. It was a lot of fun (and I might add that the "BLT" won the championship game...Brent and Lindsay team). Here is Mom and Dad with their game face.

The family all went skiing and had a blast. I opted not to go since I was 8 months pregnant :)

Thanksgiving

Kris's parents and our niece Hannah came to visit in early November and we had an early Thanksgiving dinner at our house. My mother in law taught me how to cook a turkey...and it was delicious! We had lots of fun with them and enjoyed their visit with us.
(We also had Heidi's Mom and cousin and a good college friend-Buddhi with us for dinner)
Our niece Kate LOVES Gus...Kris's parents' dog.

We enjoyed Thanksgiving weekend in Salt Lake at my Anderson Grandparents house. We were able to spend it with some extended family as well as my parents, Kristen, Brent, Whitney and Nathan. It was great to be with them. We all went bowling (A tradition we had growing up) on Thanksgiving day which was really fun.

6 weeks...

I'm due in exactly 6 weeks (February 27)! They say it looks like a healthy BOY!!! We are really excited and getting as prepared as we can. I have just a couple more weeks of work left and then I'll officially be a "Stay at home Mom". I can hardly wait :)
