Teeth!

Jordan has 2 teeth now! Pretty funny to watch him try to bite on anything in sight. I finally got a picture of his cute little mouth this morning :)

Bear World!

Kris and I have lived in Rexburg now for 8 years (including our single college days), and have never been to Bear World ... a park 15 minutes away that you can drive through and see lots of black bears, grizzly bears, a moose, deer, buffalo, and elk. Well, we finally went a few weeks ago with some good friends. It was very cool. Definitely worth the money! Jordan seemed to enjoy it too...We're excited to bring him next summer when he'll understand better what he's looking at. I loved watching these little cubs. Bears have always been my favorite animal.

Mama

A few mornings ago Jordan woke up so happy saying "Mamama!". And then because he said it numerous times through the day, I decided he must know what he is saying! :) Kris and I have had a bet going on for a while now to see if Jordan will say "mama" or "dada" first. Looks like I win!
Here are a couple of recent pictures of "the boy" as we call him :). He is sitting pretty well now, eating solids, and just got his second tooth!

Whidbey Island

We spent a few days at the family cabin on Whidbey Island in Washington with the Petty parents, Josh, Marion and the girls, and some extended family. We enjoyed boating, crabbing, playing at the beach, sitting by the fire and just chatting and relaxing. Now I see why Kris has such great memories at the Cabin from his growing up years!

Oregon

In August we traveled to Oregon and Washington to spend some time with Kris's family. It was a beautiful time of year to drive there and we had a great trip!

We stopped on the way to see Kris's sister Michon and her husband Steve in Bend, OR. We had a great visit with them but forgot to take pictures!

Once we got to Philomath, we went camping with the Nielson parents near the coast. Jordan did pretty good except waking up in the middle of the night because he was cold.

We enjoyed walking on the coast and Jordan felt sand for the first time! He wasn't quite sure what to think about it. :) Jacob and Skye met up with us for some shopping and sea food...yum!
We then made our way to Whidby Island (near Seattle) in Washington...

Southern Utah

Earlier this summer we met up with my family (the Andersons) for an extended Family reunion at Zion's Ponderosa and then had an immediate family reunion there and in St. George for the rest of the week. It was a much needed vacation and we had a blast with the family.
(See how excited we were to be together?!)
Jordan had all sorts of new adventures with the family:
He was Dad's mini-golf partner
He went swimming a few different times with us (and loved his little boat as you can tell)

He took a nap while the girl cousins and Aunts had a paint ball war. That was a lot of fun!
(And Annie and I retrieved the flag successfully!)

Jordan loved the attention from Papa, Nana, the Aunts and Uncles and his Nieces.

He came on a couple of hikes as well. Some of us hiked Angel's Landing... a rigorous but awesome hike. (named because the first man to hike it thought only an angel could get to the top.)

The others (including Kris) hiked Subway and enjoyed the challenge.

Mom was kind to watch the kids while we hiked the narrows. We loved it! You hike through the water in between big canyon walls on both sides of you. That will be a fun memory.

It was so wonderful to be all together! We had a couple of enjoyable days in St. George and learned about some of our ancestors who helped settle St. George. The story of their lives really inspired me to be a better person.
(This stair case in the tabernacle was constructed by one of our ancestors).

At the very end of the trip, Nana (my mom) gave Jordan his FIRST HAIRCUT! We think he looks great! Kris video taped it with his phone. :)

4 Months

Jordan is already 4 months old!
This last week he completely rolled over for the first time-both from his stomach to back and back to stomach! He also discovered his toes and his voice recently. He likes to babble - which is fun to listen to along with his cute little laugh.
He is sleeping well which we are very grateful for. Here are some recent pictures (including his first swimming experience):

Jordan's 3rd Month

My mom hasn't posted pictures for a while so here are some pictures from my third month of life:

My parents say I have a real cute smile

This is my swing and my bouncy chair that I LOVE.

Sometimes I like to watch the news with Dad.

Dad and I went to watch Mom compete in her first Duathlon (a running and biking race).
It was so exhausting that I fell asleep!

Dad and Mom took me on a weekend trip to visit their Nielson Grandparents in Burley, ID. We had a great time with them. We visited Shoshone Falls which was BEAUTIFUL! Here I am hanging out with the Grandparents while they ran up to take a picture of the falls.
