Blessing Day

We blessed Jordan on May 1. It was a really nice weekend. We were amazed at how many family members (and friends) came to be here! It meant a lot to us-everyone traveled a LONG way, and it made it a really special weekend to all be together.

Trip Home

Jordan and I took a trip home for a week about a month ago. On the way home we stopped in Utah for a joint baby shower. We felt very loved! We enjoyed seeing many of the Curtis cousins and Aunts. Jordan also got to meet Aunt Kristen for the first time :)

It was so fun to be home in Colorado! Jordan was showered with love and attention. He got to meet Aunt Annie, Aunt Whitney and Uncle Nathan when we got there. They were so cute to him. He also got to meet his "Papa" for the first time (my Dad, who we named his middle name after), and see Nana again. It was a very enjoyable trip and went by way too fast. Here are a few highlights from our trip:

We are having so much fun with Jordan. He's becoming a lot more alert when he's awake, and he's smiling more (but I can never seem to take a picture fast enough when he does!). Here are a couple of pictures from this last week.

Habits...

Jordan has some funny sleep habits, and it cracks us up. His favorite place to sleep at night is in his car seat. He also loves to sleep with his hands up by his head. These are a few of the funny positions we've found him in:

3 weeks

Wow...time flies! I can't believe it's already been 3 weeks since Jordan was born. He has started smiling more, he LOVES bath time, and he loves to snuggle :). We are so in love with him.

Nana Anderson came to visit for a week and was a big help while I recovered. It was really nice to have her here with us and we were sad to see her go. :(

This last weekend we had Grandma Petty, Great Grandma Perkes, and Great Aunt Nancy in town. We were all able to celebrate Melli's (Jordan's cousin) Birthday. It was a fun weekend!

Jordan Lane Nielson

Our little guy has arrived!

Jordan Lane Nielson was born Monday, February 28 at 1:01pm

7 lb 12 oz and 20 inches long

I started consistent labor at about 3:30 am on Monday and waited until 8:00 am to go to the hospital. A few minutes after arriving, my water broke and they said I was dilated to 6 cm. I delivered a healthy baby boy at 1:01 pm. Kris was a tremendous support through the labor and delivery. We are all doing well and feel very blessed!
